What is the amount to be awarded for the scholarship?
The Mountain Top Scholarship aims to supplement the financial needs of members seeking educational advancement by providing flexible scholarships that cover a myriad of needs with awards of up to $1,500 per academic year. The Mountain Top Scholarship supplements other scholarship awards to offset costs that would otherwise prevent the student from studying (tuition, housing, transportation, clothing, shoes, etc.).

The Word of Deliverance Ministries for the World, Inc., Mountain Top Scholarship will be awarded to at least one Mountain Top Scholar each year. If the selection committee agrees, more than one scholarship may be awarded each year.

Who is eligible for the scholarship?
Members of Word of Deliverance Ministries for the World, Inc., who have demonstrated leadership potential, dedication to the community, and service to the Kingdom of God at Word of Deliverance Ministries for the World, Inc.; while in active pursuit of (admitted, enrolled, and attending classes) a post-secondary degree/certification/apprenticeship/license.

Since the application must be signed, you should complete the application, sign and date it where required, and submit a scanned (PDF) version of the document with your signature by e-mail.

Must the letter of recommendation accompany the application?
No. The letter of recommendation should be submitted directly to the scholarship committee chairperson, via email to, by the recommender.

Will my application be considered if my letter of recommendation is received after the deadline?
No, an application is incomplete if the supporting letters of recommendation are not received by the deadline. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that all required materials are received by the due date and time.

How will I know if my Application has been received and is complete?
An email confirmation will be sent after an application is received; it will indicate whether the application is complete including whether letters of recommendation have also been received. The applicant can send an email inquiry in advance of the due date as to whether the information from the recommender has been received.

How will scholarship money be disbursed?
Funds will be distributed to the nominating school to supplement otherwise available scholarships. Provided the student continues their educational goals and provides timely verification of current enrollment status. Scholarships are awarded for the academic year beginning in the fall and running through the following spring. A check will be sent to the Bursar/Accounting Department for crediting to the student’s account.

What, if any, additional information will be requested of the scholarship recipients?
Scholarship recipients will be asked to submit, verification of current enrollment from their college, a brief biography (no more than 200 words), and an appropriate head shot photograph (professional attire) for announcing the distribution of the scholarship.
