Why do we worship God?
Matthew 4:10b says, “Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God and Him alone shalt thou serve.”

John 4:23-24 says, “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth for the Father seeketh such as worship Him. God is a Spirit; and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.”

Why do we have audible praise unto God?
Psalm 103:1 says, “Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name.”
Hebrews 13:15 says, “By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.”
Why do we lift our hands?
Psalm 134:2 says, “Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.”
Why do we clap our hands?
Psalm 47:1 says, “O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.”
Why are musical instruments are part of the worship service?
Psalm 150:3-5 says, “Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.”
Why do we speak with tongues and interpret tongues?
Acts 2:1-4 says, “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”
1 Corinthians 12:7 and 10b says, “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal…to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:”
Why do we anoint with oil and pray for the sick?
James 5:14-15 says, “Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.”
Why do we receive tithes and offerings?
Malachi 3:10 says, “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith saith the Lord of Hosts if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out such a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”
Luke 6:38 says, “Give and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give unto your bosom. For with the same measure that you meet withal it shall be measured unto you again.”
Deuteronomy 16:17 says, “Every man shall give as he is able according to the blessing of the Lord thy God which He hath given thee.”
