Lewis T. Hilton, Jr. (more affectionately) known as Bishop Bobby Hilton is capturing the nation’s attention with his soul-stirring style of “teacher preaching”. Declaring the gospel for over thirty years and serving as a pastor for over 25, He is senior shepherd of Word of Deliverance Ministries for the World, Inc. From very small beginnings, he led the congregation in the construction of their sanctuary in 1996 and The Word Family Life Center, now home to the ministry, was completed in 2006.

Bishop is dedicated to “Taking the Word to the World” through conferences, books, audio and video recordings, radio & television, the Internet, and through community outreach programs. He serves as CEO of Bishop Bobby Hilton Ministries (BBHM), Inc. and Strengthening, Overcoming, Achieving, Restoring (S.O.A.R.) Development Corporation. He is a committed chaplain with the Hamilton County Police Association.
Bishop Bobby Hilton declared in his inaugural live recording with Word of Deliverance Mass Choir “God Did That Thing!” He penned most of the titles on this project and was honored to have Evangelist Dorothy Norwood join him on the title cut. Evangelist Elbertina “Twinkie” Clark teamed up with Bishop Hilton on “Lord Help Me Keep My Yes”, Co-Pastor Wendi Wyatt blessed the house on “Holy”, our very own Elder E.J. Andrews helped Bishop rock the house on Congregational Medley, and Bishop Michael Blue stirred the house with the song, Fire”. Some of the other songs on the project include “God’s Word, “My Story”, His Promise”, “Life”, “Lord, You Deserve the Glory ”, and “Never Will I Turn Back”. He was also featured lead singer of the title cut on Dorothy Norwood’s CD release with Mississippi Mass Choir, “No Request”.
In December 2012, Bishop Hilton was elected President of the newly organized Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the National Action Network (GCCNAN). He was sworn in on Saturday, January 4, 2013 by Rev. Al Sharpton, founder and CEO of The National Action Network (NAN). This civil rights organization fights for one standard of justice, decency and equal opportunity for all people regardless of race, religion, national origin, or gender. GCCNAN will be actively engaged in Crisis Intervention, Political Awareness, Criminal Justice, Health and Wellness, Education, Economic Development, Business/Corporate Relationship Building.
Bishop Hilton has been married to his chief intercessor and co-laborer in the gospel, the lovely Co-Pastor, Dr. Valda Hilton, for nearly 38 years. They have two adult children, Jermaine & Stephanie and wonderful grandchildren and many “spiritual” children.
